Ugggghhhhh. Never merge your layers in photoshop until you KNOW you don’t need them separate. Always nice to add 5 hours to my workload.
Anyway, anyone who knows where the character design for Ed there came from gets 50 nerd points. Note: Nerd points are worthless.
Also… for some reason, …Aviva? I don’t know what it means, I was told to say it by a friend. So, there you go.

I think the rule is “Always duplicate all your layers before you merge them, and keep them for backup forever whether you think you need them or not because .psd filesize isn’t a concern,” right?
I do what legumious does, for the reasons you describe, Alex. It’s always good to have redundancy is a good thing.
Appropriate ringtone, I think (anyway in my weird twisted logical it is, if you don’t get it, don’t try to xD).
Ditto on what everyone else said. I have six different copies of every page I do, one for each major step of putting the comic together. I will probably never mess with at least four of those six copies ever again, but they’re there if I do need them!

I had to stare at the picture for awhile before I figured it out, and I didn’t even know the guy’s name was Edward, just what movies he was in. This Edward is Edward Asner, who most might remember last as doing the voice of Carl in “UP”.

Aviva means “spring” (the season) in Hebrew. No idea why you would be told to say it randomly… unless it means something else too
so, totally late to the answer of this, but i was reading thru the comics cause i started reading and my laptop died like a year ago, and i got so preoccupied i stopped reading all of the webcomics i did read. anyways, Ed Asner is the actor, the line itself is also a throwback to Ed’s character Lou Grant on the Mary Tyler Moore show (a show so old I was not alive while it was being filmed, but my father loved it and therefore it was watched on rerun constantly while i was a small child).
anywho, the comic is fantastic. Keep up the good work!
