A Diversion

As I was doing the mugshots in the last comic, I started doodling a “realistic” Herman and thought, hey, why not do some more?
Long story short, I thought these looked neat, in a vaguely unsettling way, and it’s an update now. Enjoy!
I love how Kate and Penny came out! Wow.
Thurman looks just a little like he’s related to Kim Jong-il. And if Herman were to die and Thurman inherit his money I have no doubt he would use it to conquer a small country and make his Rock N Roll God dream come true.
I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought “Kim Jong-il.” while looking at Thimrod.
Kate looks pretty darn good, Penny looks alright (but her eyes freak me out for some reason), but Herman and Kim Jong-Thurman… I’m going to have nightmares now. D:
Damn they somehow give me the creeps, but that might be the 3 hours of sleep I had the last two days …..

Damn you’re good, Alex. You should have a gallery up there at DeviantArt. For realz. My fave here is Kate, followed by Penny… and dammit, Herman & Thurman sure are fugly… I think that perhaps you went down too hard on Herman, but that’s just my opinion anyways. All in all a great job, kudos!
Anyone else reminded of Barney Fife when they look at Herman?
And yeah Kim Jong-il over there is gonna give me nightmares. 0_o

These are really good. I wouldn’t mind seeing this style more often, if of course you were able to.
I like Penny best, she’s a redhead.
The is the reason why we shouldn’t change style from caricature to realistic from one strip to another.
Dude, Herman looks just like Steve Buscemi, at least it does to me . . .
But Kate looks really pretty!

Penny reminds me of someone. Perhaps it’s that she smiles slightly too broadly and gives people the unnerving impression that she’s about to go for their neck…
Looking at these, it’d be hard to believe Kate would be related to Herman and Thurman.
