I have never watched 24. Probably never will since I got rid of my cable TV last year. But I can recommend “Have Gun, Will Travel” on cbs.com!

That’s…a bit of wacky English. I mean, yes, technically her gender could give information or knowledge to her brain or something, which could use that knowledge to make television choices, or her gender is a character or distinction of her television choices.
It’s not bad English, that’s just a weird word to put in there. I had to re-read the sentence a couple times before I could see how that word fit.
