The Big Change
February 2, 2009
is here. OK, it’s not enormous, but it’s a marked improvement from the old site, or at least I think so.
The comics are now 960 pixels wide instead of 760, which for me is great because it lets more art show through between the speech bubbles. Also, as you can read in the comic post for today, I’m moving to a story-central format, at least for a little while. Gags are fun, but I’ve gotten to a place where I’d like to start developing my characters further and maybe explore some new ones (like Mim the Publicist). I want to create a nice balance where I can tell a good story and still be entertaining to the person just passing through and reading the latest strip without knowing any background.
Also, the site itself has undergone a facelift. My old top banner was a slapdash effort I completed in a couple of hours and once my art in the comics got better, that banner looked like crap to me. The new title looks a little more professional, and the character portraits are drawn more carefully.
In other words, BLAH BLAH BIGGER COMICS BLAH BLAH NARRATIVE BLAH NOBODY CARES.
P.S. Also, i’ve reduced the number of Blog posts per page because all the old ones are doing is taking up page space.

I love the new look, it’s great!
