Great job with the second panel. The noose is just visible enough to spot it on re-reading, thus avoiding the “where was it before” problem, but not so visible that it spoils the reveal in the fourth panel.
I also enjoyed the stack of boxes in the 1st panel just labeled “stuff”. I’v moved a few times and you always try to label the boxes with something to tell you what’s inside so that you can find it again when you are unpacking, but I would imagine that Herman would probably have a lot of stuff that had no better category than “stuff”.

Thanks! I actually drew the rope behind him so I would know where to put the dialogue balloons.
Hah, it’s not often you see a flat-panel computer monitor and a ticker-tape machine in the same office.
What the hey is ticker tape?
I thought your timeline might be off, but then I realized “holy crap it’s been four years of this economy”.
And to think, this all started with Herman comparing his draft to Kate’s college applications.
…and ends with a noose. Hmm foreshadowing at work?
