Summer school? Maybe they let her do the whole last year all over.
Naw, they’ll just bust her right back to kindergarten to do the whole thing over again. (Did anybody else get told that lie in the first couple years of Elementary School?)
Either summer school, or Herman tries to buy the school to keep Kate from failing.

P.S. Poor Penny’s legs are a bit weird in the third panel.
You would think Kate would have learnt a bit of respect for Penny’s Genre Savviness by now.
