He's not the typical "Look at how stupid I look/am durr hurr hurr" character, but he's enough of "The Ditz" that he can screw up and be intelligent about why he screwed up. The baseball player angle works pretty well too, especially as a Ret. BP. The steroids angle really sells the exaggerated eyes too. This is pretty good.
