It’s Ten Feet Deep

June 10, 2009

Essentially the same joke two days in a row, but this one’s been floating around in my head for a while.

The fact that Penny’s name is what it is adds an interesting dimension to all of this.

    That’s a lot of pennies…

  2. Jay says:

Approximately valued at 172,800 dollars if the room is 10×10 feet, and the pile is ten feet deep. A rough estimate but math that sounded fun to me, great comic by the way.

  4. Trey says:

  5. Jackie-O says:

  6. AlasdairisAwesome says:

Is Herman Beckett one of my people Alex, thats the only explanation for a horde of pennies like that. Well that or he is secretly Scrooge McDuck, Which is it? I demand an answer

  7. Chefs brian says:

thats just awesome. but what happened if somebody told him the same thing, but with a dollar? is that the room next door?

  8. Addison Trent says:

    WANT

  9. dodoman1 says:

    Duck Tales! Woo-oo!

  10. Alex says:

I think Scrooge still has a bit of an advantage since the coins he dives into are gold, not pennies.

  11. Mike Weasel says:

He must be the luckiest guy ever. According to Jay, that’s 17,280,000 pennies. If he’s 50 years old, that means he’s found a penny every minute and a half on average since he was born.

  12. Ted says:

Hmm. I wonder if he is on to something. I mean yes, that is not what the saying originally meant, but he certainly has earned a significant amount through his baseball career. Perhaps a room full of pennies is good juju?

  13. Zt107 says:

Alot of people want a room stuffed with money, who said the coins had to be valueable?

  14. Zt107 says:

Also, why do we love math when we use it to find out unimportant things

  15. Ryguy987 says:

HA! Though penny’s today are actually quite worthless. Another thing I never expected anyone to think of. Though, I have only one question: How are YOU able to see outside the Mainstream? Also, have you ever heard of a fellow named James Rolfe (AKA the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN))? Because he has this series called “You Know What’s Bullshit” and he covered penny’s on his second episode, stating that they’re worthless. In fact, that episode even aired on one of the major news stations (NBC I believe).

  16. Alex says:

I’ve seen it, actually I subscribed to his YouTube channel

  17. Juju says:

I would have found it really funny if he locked Penny in the room with all the pennies….. “A Penny saved…..”

  18. Rainbow-Nunchuks says:

I just had a terrifing thought of Herman pushing penny in there and locking her up with the other pennies for ever

  19. God of Death says:

I think that this comic should be redone, and just to add to the creepy factor have it be filled with blow-up penny dolls.

  20. Jay says:

All math is fun to me, this one just yelled for me to complete it since I was playing with a tape measure at the time and had a penny nearby.
