Your comment about the prodigious eating habits of college students kind of reminds me of the line from “The Producers”:
“You can’t just go out and shoot all the actors! They’re human beings!”
“Oh, yeah? Did you ever eat with one?”
I have managed to graduate two of my three kids from college (the third is a junior now). When they came home, it was kind of like a horde of locusts descending on a fully ripened field of grain.
Now that you officially picked up on “Thimrod” you realize everyone will go back to calling him Thurman
Thurman is now available with more zing.
The ‘bigs’? Since when are there ‘bigs’ for weiner-eating contests?
Also, a grown man saying he’ll stuff a nine-year-old full of weiners just doesn’t sound right.
Also, I’ve always called him Thurman, just so that when the Thimrod thing dies out, I can be smug. (And not just uncool).

Thimrod was first mentioned in the Karate Bullets arc, by that crazed commander. Didn’t realise it had become a “thing”, because he was always referred to as Thurman until this point…
