So here I am…
November 22, 2008
As the days go by, I’m tweaking and updating this site and learning the best way to go about doing this webcomic thing. Forums and Tyler Martin’s comicpress blog have been really helpful, and the CSS, while somewhat difficult, was surprisingly workable for a complete coding newbie like myself. All that’s left now is to see where it goes from here. The openness and freedom of the internet is both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. I’m free to do whatever I want here creatively, which is nice, but how many people are going to end up seeing this page? How successful is this thing going to get?
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect to be the next Penny Arcade or anything. No matter what, I’d still try to get my doodles out into the public view. But I, like everyone, think it’d be awesome to make a living doing what I love. The problem with what I love is that there’s an enormous talent pool out there of which a few handfuls can actually support themselves, and right now, I’m just a grain of sand on the beach.
Either way, I’ll keep posting comics, hopefully you’ll read them, and we’ll see what happens. I got a lot of art left in me.
