There may or may not be messages in the freckles, but in the last panel, there is a smiley face on her right shoulder that is made by ‘em!
I had one poor alarm clock that got smashed or thrown so often it no longer had all the pieces; just kept wiring the boards/etc. back together and the dang thing worked for years.
