This strip serves as proof that I will NOT be doing a sad, dramatic arc about Penny confronting alcoholism and struggling to find help, only to end up finding the strength inside herself all along.

Also, why confront alcoholism and win? Is it not funnier to lose the battle and realize you’ll be hooked all your life, and gain the strength to accept yourself for who you are and learn the important life lesson of not looking as drunk as you actually are?

Go for it! What’s the worst that could happen? Waking up (again) in a Chinese prison? I know how I’d get out of that if I were Penny: I’d look around for a frame where my friends back home were wondering what had happened to me (or even hadn’t noticed and were blithely doing something else), reach across and grab something solid in that frame (like a railing or a door frame) and pull myself across. BLAM! Home again. Might scare the sh!t out of my friends, but I’d be back safe at home.
I don’t know about you all, but I’m totally going to be watching that toaster race at 9 pm Monday

She really really is. Honestly I’ve never been able to take Jack White seriously even post-Stripes for all that nonsense. But then I’m a vindictive asshole.
