i would just like to clarify i have never smacked or had the desire to smack a woman. verbal abuse is more creative

I think some of you are misinterpereting the intent of the slap.
It’s a fairly common move for the panicking character to be slapped in scenes like this, I’m playing off of that. He’s not beating her to be abusive.
