I will give you that, I haven’t studied the Maine accent. I’ll have ot talk to my Accents and Dialects teacher about that ,but I do know that (at least in New England and the South) people tend to drop their r’s quite a bit. Oddly enough, my parents are from Georgia/California and yet I was born in the Midwest and I tend to have a bit of a southern accent if I’m not careful with my speech.

I dunno, just seemed like an interesting tidbit.
