  2. Ryguy987 says:

Good comic, but here’s my question: How can any believable person be THIS stupid?

I just hope Thurman burns for his insolence (that’s sarcasm if you’re an idiot)!

  3. Jessica says:

    THIS IS A WEBCOMIC?

  4. Lauren Shapiro says:

    WE HAVE GRANDPARENTS?!

  5. Monkeyman says:

My only thought on this is…Thurman’s shirt has Angryfaic on it…is that a blow to NG?
I mean Thurman’s depicted as a dumb, ridiculous kid, who nobody wants to be like.
Granted there are some NG users like that, but wow, it just feels like a blow to NG…
    Funny as hell otherwise.

  6. ZesuBen says:

Don’t you be makin’ fun of Maine. It gets wicked hahd to staht yuh cah in the wintah.

  7. Alex says:

Monkeyman, I have no idea what you’re talking about.

  8. y3k says:

…eh, Swahili was a close guess.

  9. DCS says:

    Woot!!

  10. legumious says:

Alex thinks of Newgrounds when he sees the >:( face just as much as you think of Hanover Insurance when you see the :) face.

…that said, Thurman looks like he has the use of his fingers, and everybody knows that NG users can only type with closed fists :P

  11. Dee says:

    Oh. Maine. Whoops.

  12. Jorgen says:

I love this. Especially since I think we’ve all had a point in our very early lives where it is hard to believe that your parents were ever children.

  13. Alex says:

    Oh, Newgrounds. I haven’t been there in a while…

Still, no, it’s just a frowny face on a shirt.

  14. Dragonizer says:

I rather want Thurman’s shirt. It depicts how I feel about the world in general very well. :P

  15. Thimrod’s shirt makes me want to buy (insert name of product everyone is babbling on about)

PS. wait, why not sell em yourself :P

  16. Ramon says:

Maine…. I would have never guessed. And I can’t believe Thurman is that unintelligent (don’t know is I’m allowed to say the “S” word).

  17. Dierna says:

I can honestly say I have never heard a Maine accent…..Murder, She Wrote was set in Maine tho…did they speak in Maine-ish accents??? I know Jessica Fletcher didn’t cuz the actress is British. *lol* *thinks* Maybe I did hear Maine-ish accents on the show and never realized it?? humm….I have some friends that live up there….I should ask them if they’ve pahked their cah’s lately….*lol*

  18. Dierna says:

Also, the whole Maine thing makes sense. I was wondering why the grandparents looked like Barbara and George Bush Sr

  19. Becca says:

Rather than be offended, I am going to sit back and be incredibly amused. BTW- Murder She Wrote had the most horrendously fake put-on accents of all time.

So, does Herman’s dad work at Bates, Bowdoin, or Colby?

  20. Becca says:

Or, I suppose since she said “University,” Farmington, Orono, Machias, Presque Isle, or one of the other various UMaine system schools?

  21. Infinity says:

I think most of New England has very similar accents. I tend to ‘forget’ to pronounce my ‘r’s which I was told is very normal for those who originate from any of the New England states. I had to actually take 5 years of speech classes when I moved south to try and learn to pronounce ‘r’s and even still my accent will slip out once in a while…it’s definitely something that sticks with you.
